Copyright & DMCA Policy

Effective: 1 January 2026

StarPass Holdings LLC (“StarPass”) respects the intellectual property of others and responds to notices of alleged infringement in accordance with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), the EU Copyright Directive (2019/790), and the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, as applicable.

1. How to Submit a Notice of Alleged Infringement

To submit a takedown notice, provide a written communication by email to our Designated Copyright Agent containing all of the following:

  1. a physical or electronic signature of the owner of the exclusive right or an authorised representative;
  2. identification of the copyrighted work (or other protected right, such as a trade mark or right of publicity) you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if many works;
  3. identification of the material you claim is infringing and its location on the Services, with enough detail to allow us to find it (for example, a direct URL);
  4. your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
  5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law; and
  6. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner of the right in question or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.

U.S. operators are strongly encouraged to register a Designated Agent with the U.S. Copyright Office under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2). Registration can be completed at dmca.copyright.gov.

3. Misrepresentations

Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was wrongly removed, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.

4. Counter-Notice

If material you posted has been removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or that you are authorised to use the material, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@starpass.site containing:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. identification of the material that has been removed and its former location;
  3. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  4. your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which StarPass may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person’s agent.

If a valid counter-notice is received, we will forward it to the complaining party. Unless we receive notice that the complaining party has sought a court order against the user within 10 business days, we may restore the removed material within 10 to 14 business days.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

In appropriate circumstances, we will terminate the accounts and access of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.

6. International Rights Holders

We also respond to properly substantiated complaints under:

  • the EU Copyright Directive (Directive 2019/790/EU) and national implementations;
  • Article 17 obligations, where we fall within scope;
  • the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988;
  • the Canadian Copyright Modernization Act (notice-and-notice regime); and
  • other applicable international copyright and trade-mark laws.

7. Right-of-Publicity and Trade-Mark Complaints

To report a violation of the right of publicity, personality rights, or a registered trade mark, email legal@starpass.site with evidence of the right you assert and the URL of the material concerned. We apply the same good-faith review as for copyright notices.
